Nintendo Announces Breath of the Wild DLC is Cancelled due to low initial sales on “Expansion Pass.” Refunds will be Issued.

Today Nintendo revealed on Twitter that unfortunately Breath of the Wild DLC is cancelled due to low interest and low sales of the Expansion Pass.

“Due to limited interest in the pass. Our team has decided to stop working on the extra content coming to the game this Summer and Winter. We are extremely sorry for everyone disappointed but we will release the hard mode this Summer as a free update and will issue refunds starting tomorrow.” -Eiji Aonuma

But at least hard mode is coming this Summer right? I am extremely disappointed in their decision and I wonder if sales are the real reason for the cancellation. Oh well, the instructions for getting a refund are below.
